LCH is very excited about implementing the Medication Assisted Treatment Program in Southern Chester County. This opportunity is an outgrowth of widespread support from within LCH and its surrounding communities. LCH is searching for a qualified and dynamic individual who can collaborate to start and lead this service line. The right candidate will work closely with the Medical Director and the Associate Director of Mental Health in defining the scope and content of this project.
The primary function of the Addiction Specialist Physician is to provide comprehensive care for addiction and substance related disorders including the screening, diagnosis, intervention, and treatment of such health conditions. In addition, the Addiction Specialist will recognize and treat the psychiatric and physical complications.
Qualifications and Skills
- Holds current MD or DO license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
- Certified by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), or the American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM)
- Credentialed or eligible for credentialing under Medicare, Medicaid, and other commercial insurance
- Experience in a progressively responsible administrative or management-related position with a primary health care environment is ideal Preference will be given to those with experience in medically needy or underserved communities and in a community health center setting
- Proven record of success supervising providers and other clinical staff is essential
- Demonstrated success in providing services and exercising leadership in a culturally, socioeconomically, and linguistically diverse setting
- Eligible for prescriptive privileges in Pennsylvania
- Public Health/Community Health experience is preferred
- Proficiency in English and Spanish preferred but not required
- Proficiency in EMR
