The primary functions of the Practice Coordinator are to provide needed patient access to services and to direct all administrative functions of LCH’s clinical practices including medical, mental health and when appropriate dental, and call center. The front office support staff are under the direct guidance and leadership of the Practice Coordinator. This position is responsible for the team that opens a trusting relationship with all patients and who makes sure they have their next appointment scheduled when they leave. The Practice Coordinator provides staff with on-site support and guidance to ensure quality patient care and service.
The Practice Coordinator is directly responsible for ensuring a positive patient experience with LCH via phone and in person. This manager addresses problems, monitors the excellence of the work of staff, coordinates and streamlines services, makes improvements, when necessary, implements new initiatives, and is a team-builder across teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field, preferred
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish required
- Experience in health center or non-profit business management preferred
- Experience in the direct service delivery of health and human services
- Experience working at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is preferred
- Experience with office-based applications: EMR, Microsoft Office, and internet use is required
