The primary function of the Medical Billing Specialist is maximizing revenue from private & public insurance, and private pay. Activities to achieve this function include review and approval of charges, correcting denied claims, and managing accounts receivable. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication and customer service techniques, and knowledge of medical billing.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Medical billing experience required
- Certified Professional Biller and/or Certified Professional Coder preferred
- Knowledge of FQHCs preferred
- Computer experience required. Excel, Word, EHR preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Current Driver’s License (PA, MD or DE)
